Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman from the Telangana High Court has put on hold the decision regarding a petition by Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. The petition aims to dismiss a criminal case, numbered 445/2024 (FIR 321/2021), filed against him at the Choutuppal police station.

The case stems from an incident at a government event in Choutuppal mandal, Lakkaram within the Munugode constituency. During a program for distributing food security cards, Jagdish Reddy, a minister at the time, was speaking when Rajagopal Reddy allegedly interrupted by grabbing the microphone. This action reportedly caused disruptions, leading to a clash between BRS activists and Reddy’s supporters. The Choutuppal tahsildar filed a complaint, resulting in the case against Reddy.
