    A massive bike rally was organized in Kothagudem on Friday by members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to mark Deeksha Diwas. This event commemorates the historic hunger strike undertaken by party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) in 2009.

    The rally saw the participation of several leaders, including MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former MLAs Vanama Venkateswara Rao, Rega Kantha Rao, M Nageswara Rao, and B Haripriya. Municipal chairperson K Seethalakshmi, senior party leader Dindigala Rajender, and others also joined the event.

    During the commemoration, the leaders paid floral tributes to the Telangana Talli statue at the party office. They also honored Telangana martyrs with a tribute at Pragathi Maidan. Later, they visited the Government General Hospital, where they distributed fruits and bread to patients. Similar activities were conducted in other mandals across the district.

    Speaking to the media, MP Ravichandra highlighted the significance of K Chandrashekhar Rao’s hunger strike 15 years ago. He stated that the strike played a crucial role in shaping the history of Telangana, as it was instrumental in the movement for the formation of a separate state.

    In Khammam, several leaders participated in similar commemorative events. These included MLC T Ravinder, district party president Tata Madhusudhan, former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, and RJC Krishna. Leaders and party members came together to honor the legacy of the movement that led to the creation of Telangana.
