Residents in Rangareddy are frustrated over the prolonged closure of a road and the lack of attention from politicians. The closure was due to the construction of a foot-over-bridge (FOB) at the Uddamgadda railway halt. The project was initiated to address the inconvenience faced by locals due to frequent halts at the Uddamgadda signal. However, the project has been delayed, causing distress for residents, traders, and schoolchildren.

The delay in completing the proposed ROB has forced schoolchildren to risk crossing the railway track to reach their school. This has raised concerns for their safety. Local shop owners have also been deeply affected by the road closure, resulting in business losses and inconvenience.

The GHMC proposed the ROB in 2017, but progress has been slow. The road blockade has caused ongoing distress for residents and traders. Despite numerous accidents and pleas for action, the local community’s grievances have been ignored.

Residents are calling for the road closure to be revoked and for the GHMC to expedite the construction of the road over bridge. They believe that immediate action is needed to alleviate the suffering of local people, traders, and schoolchildren at the railway halt.
