Jordi Alba scored the winning goal for Barca with five minutes left in the game. Osasuna defender Jorge Hernando was sent off in the 27th minute for pulling down Pedri. Despite playing with a player less, Osasuna held on for 70 minutes before Alba’s vital strike.
Real Madrid made several changes for their game against Real Sociedad, with Karim Benzema rested and Vinicius Jr suspended. Takefusa Kubo and Ander Barrenetxea scored for Real Sociedad, securing their fourth place in the league.
Almeria beat Elche 2-1 at home, lifting them to 14th place with 36 points and confirming Elche’s relegation to the second division.
