Red Cross Blood Center Has Enough Screened Blood

Mahabubnagar‘s Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Blood Centre assures that it has enough blood on hand for emergencies. As of September 25, there are 414 screened blood units available.

Lion Nataraj, President of the Mahabubnagar Red Cross branch, provided details on the blood types in stock: 100 units of A positive, 4 units of A negative, 110 units of B positive, 1 unit of B negative, 40 units of AB positive, 152 units of O positive, and 7 units of O negative.

Moreover, the centre holds 230 units of Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP), ready for immediate use. It also offers single-donor platelets and plasma, supporting patients with urgent needs.

Blood centre officials encourage hospitals and the public to utilize these resources. They also urge healthy individuals to donate blood regularly to keep supplies ample.
