Telangana Rythu Sangam leaders visited Wyra mandal on Monday to inspect the damage caused to agricultural motors belonging to farmers. Around 70 motors were burnt due to heavy rains in Dachhapuram and Gannavaram villages. The farmers also faced difficulties due to backwater from the Jalamudi project, which covered their sugarcane plantations with sand and waste. The leaders demanded that the government provide compensation to the farmers to cover their losses.

The team of Telangana Rythu Sangam leaders and farmers, led by Bontu Rambabu, examined the burnt motors, damaged crops, and fields in Wyra mandal. They expressed their concern for the hardships faced by the farmers and criticized the government for not conducting a survey to assess the extent of the losses. Each farmer will need to spend around Rs 7,000 to repair their motors.
