In Hyderabad, the barrier wall separating the Nandanavanam and Jayanagar colonies in Habsiguda has been taken down by the Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA). This change has eased the lives of local residents, cutting their travel distance from 1.5 kilometers to just 300 meters.

With the wall removed, people living on Street 4 in Nandanavanam can now easily reach the main Habsiguda road via Street 6. For 15 years, residents faced difficulties due to this separation. Earlier, they had to travel 1.5 kilometers to reach the NGR I Metro Station. Now, the direct access through Street 6 reduces this journey to 300 meters.

Residents shared that despite multiple complaints to the municipal authorities and talks with the Jayanagar Colony Association, no action was taken. It was only after a complaint was submitted through the Prajavani grievance platform that HYDRAA stepped in.
