Mahabubnagar: On Wednesday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a strong response against the BRS in Vemula village, Musapet. He claimed the party is collapsing due to its own corruption and internal conflicts. Responding to claims about his involvement in KCR’s daughter K. Kavitha’s revolt, he firmly denied any connection. Kavitha was recently suspended from BRS for criticizing former Minister Harish Rao and Rajya Sabha MP Santosh Kumar.
“Don’t involve me or the Congress in BRS’s family disputes. Their fights are about dividing the money they took from Telangana over the past decade. I am not responsible for their decline,” he stated.
The CM accused KCR and his family of exploiting the state under the Kaleshwaram project, which he called the largest scam in Telangana’s history. He suggested that this corruption is causing their family disagreements and predicted that BRS, like the Janata Party and TDP, would soon disappear from Telangana’s political scene.
Revanth highlighted the trust people have placed in him, saying, “For the first time in 70 years, locals have chosen someone from their own region to lead. My duty is to change Palamuru from a place known for migration and poverty into an industrialized area of prosperity.”
Regarding development, the CM encouraged locals to offer their land for projects, promising fair compensation. He announced that ₹4,000 crore is already set aside for the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project and called on farmers for their cooperation.
Revanth accused BRS of hindering progress. “They did nothing for Narayanpet and Kodangal for ten years. Now they are using the Green Tribunal to block irrigation projects. Such politics won’t be accepted,” he said.
He warned, “If BRS doesn’t change, people will eliminate it. Telangana won’t forgive those who stole its wealth and betrayed its trust.”
