Mahabubnagar: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy vowed to make Palamuru a prosperous region by prioritizing education, health, and irrigation. He pledged to allocate significant funds for the district’s growth.
During the SGD Corning Pharmaceutical Glass Tubing ceremony in Vemula village, he said Palamuru, once known for poverty and migration, will soon become an industrial and educational hub. Ministers Vakkiti Srihari, Jupally Krishna Rao, and MLA G. Madhusudhan Reddy attended.
The CM emphasized that Palamuru will transform from a migration zone to a model of progress. He criticized past governments for neglecting projects like Palamuru–Ranga Reddy and Jurala. He mentioned that Sonia Gandhi sanctioned Palamuru University, but it remained underdeveloped. To combat migration, he announced new Engineering, Law, and Degree Colleges, as well as an IIIT.
A plan for Young India Integrated Residential Schools in 14 constituencies, costing ₹2,800 crore, was revealed. These schools will offer quality education to SC, ST, BC, and minority students. Additionally, 14 training centers will boost skills for jobs locally and abroad. “Palamuru will produce not only engineers and doctors but also IAS and IPS officers,” he stated.
On irrigation, he promised the swift completion of projects through green channel funding. He urged officials to conduct fair land acquisition for projects like Udandapur.
The CM also highlighted the district’s potential for industrial and healthcare growth, promising job creation for local youth.
He concluded by saying education and irrigation are key to Palamuru’s future. “As a native, transforming this land is my duty. Political obstruction will only harm our future,” he insisted.
