Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Kaleshwaram project did not receive cabinet approval during the BRS government.

He disagreed with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and ministers T Harish Rao and E Rajendar, who claimed that the BRS government approved the project in a cabinet meeting. These leaders presented their statements to the Justice PC Ghose Commission of Inquiry, saying cabinet approval was given. However, Revanth Reddy stated this was false and promised to provide the commission with complete documentary evidence by June 30.

Revanth Reddy explained that the commission had requested details of the cabinet’s approval for Kaleshwaram after questioning KCR. He confirmed that the government holds all necessary evidence and noted that only the project’s cost increase was approved in the cabinet during KCR’s tenure.
