Nirmal – As the new academic year 2025–26 approaches, Professor Govardhan, Vice-Chancellor of RGUKT, led a key review meeting to ensure smooth preparations. The session brought together deans, department heads, and top officials from various divisions.
He urged all departments to create clear and practical action plans to kick-start the academic year successfully. Efficiency and teamwork, he said, are vital to creating a strong learning environment for students.
The meeting covered several critical areas. Officials discussed how to manage exams more effectively and shared updates on water supply, electricity use, and student welfare services. Departments also presented reports from engineering, science, and humanities, highlighting current progress and ongoing tasks.
One major point of discussion was the need for updated and fully functional lab equipment. The Vice-Chancellor asked departments to assess their needs and submit detailed reports for necessary repairs and acquisitions.
He also pushed for the introduction of new courses tailored to industry needs. To keep the curriculum relevant, he instructed staff to review and update the syllabus. These changes will be discussed further in the upcoming Board of Studies meeting, expected in early June.
The university is also planning to upgrade its infrastructure in stages, ensuring long-term growth and better facilities for students and staff.
Those present at the meeting included AO Ranadhir, Associate Deans Dr. Chandrasekhar, Dr. Mahesh, Dr. Vittal, Nagaraju, COE Dr. Vinod, and other departmental leaders.
