During the meeting, the Additional Collector instructed millers to supply the CMR grain to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) for the 2023-24 Rabi season by January 25. He also emphasized that the grain for the Civil Supply Corporation for the 2024-25 Kharif season must be handed over without delay. The official warned that legal action would be taken against millers who fail to meet these deadlines.

The Additional Collector urged millers to abandon any negligent behavior and comply with the government’s directives. He stressed that timely delivery of CMR grain would help avoid legal consequences.

Furthermore, he highlighted that many millers have not provided the required bank guarantees despite repeated instructions. If this trend continues, the administration might consider transferring grain responsibilities to others. The millers were asked to cooperate fully to prevent such measures.

The meeting served as a warning to millers to fulfill their obligations promptly while ensuring compliance with government orders.
