Asha Worker Lilavati, 55, died after falling from a bike near the bus depot in Nagarkurnool district center. She had accompanied a pregnant woman named Nikita to the hospital the night before because Nikita was experiencing stomach pains. Nikita gave birth to a baby boy, and Lilavati was taking Nikita’s husband back to their village when the accident occurred.
Lilavati suffered severe head injuries from the fall and was rushed to the district hospital with the help of Nikita’s husband. Despite efforts to save her, Lilavati passed away while receiving treatment. The village was saddened by the news of her death. Lilavati leaves behind two daughters.
District Medical Health Officer Sudhakar Lal inspected Lilavati’s body and paid his respects. The community mourns the loss of a dedicated Asha Worker.
