Sainik welfare activities discussed in Khammam meeting

District Collector VP Gautham spoke at a meeting on Monday with current and retired defense personnel in Khammam. He discussed different ways they are supporting the welfare of defense personnel, including financial help and special discounts. He promised to address the issue of gun licenses for ex-servicemen. Gautham suggested organizing a job fair specifically for ex-servicemen and their families.

During the meeting, they agreed that 2% of double bedroom homes in the district should be reserved for ex-servicemen. They also suggested offering training programs for self-employment and competitive exams. Additional Collectors Snehalatha Mogili and N Madhusudan, District Revenue Officer R Sirisha, District In-charge Military Welfare Officer Sriram, District Health Officer Dr B Malathi, DRDA Project Director Vidyachandana, DPO Apparao, and others attended the meeting.
