The YSRCP Government criticized YS Sharmila and the Congress, accusing them of being a ploy by TDP president Chandrababu Naidu to discredit the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh Government general secretary and government advisor, stated this at a press conference following Sharmila’s appointment as the APCC president. Sajjala claimed that Naidu used his influence to ensure Sharmila’s appointment.

Sajjala questioned Sharmila’s sudden presence in Andhra Pradesh after claiming to be focused on Telangana for the past three years. In response, Sharmila criticized YS Jagan’s leadership and questioned his accomplishments as Chief Minister.

Sajjala reprimanded Sharmila for her inappropriate language and defended Chief Minister YS Jagan, stating that he was working diligently to fulfill the vision of his father, YSR. Sajjala also highlighted the difficulties faced by YSR’s family members after his death, including false legal cases and harassment by the Congress.

Sajjala suspected that Sharmila’s actions were influenced by Chandrababu Naidu and suggested that she may be supporting Naidu’s bid to become the next Chief Minister. He alleged that Naidu was using Sharmila to target Jagan and criticized the Congress for collaborating with Naidu to harm Andhra Pradesh.

In conclusion, Sajjala emphasized that Naidu was orchestrating these actions and questioned why the Congress did not recognize Sharmila in Telangana. He accused Naidu of using Sharmila, who is Jagan’s sister, to undermine Jagan’s leadership by spreading false narratives about his governance.
