The week-long Saptaah Bhajans at the Adishila Kshetram in Maldakal came to an end on Saturday. The event began on the 3rd of this month and concluded with a special ceremony.
Saritha, the former ZP Chairperson and Congress Party in-charge for the Gadwal constituency, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. During her speech, she shared her hopes for good rains and plentiful crops. She emphasized that the Saptaah Bhajans are held every year with these wishes in mind.
Before the ceremony, water from the nearby Krishna River in Gadwal town was used for a ritual bathing called abhishekam at the temple. After the rituals, Saritha took part in a cleanliness and greenery drive by planting saplings in front of the temple.
