    On Tuesday, MLA Vodithala Sathish Kumar inaugurated the sunflower procurement centre at Husnabad Agricultural Market in Karimnagar district. During his speech, the MLA encouraged farmers to sell their produce at government-established centres to receive the support price. The government has set the support price for sunflower at Rs 6,400 per quintal.

    The MLA also announced that the State government is working towards the welfare of farmers. Under ST quota grant, various roads in the constituency will be constructed with a total cost of Rs 10 crore. Roads will be laid from Husnabad mandal- Jillela Gadda to Mirzapur via Ballunayak Thanda, from Maisammavari Tanda to Keshav Naik Tanda in Akkannapet mandal, from Kundanvaripalli to Sitaram Thanda, from Singa Naik Thanda to Bangari Thanda under Baswapur of Koheda mandal, and from Ghanpur to Raikal Thanda.

    Moreover, an additional Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned for Husnabad Girijana Bhavan and an additional Rs 5 crore for Husnabad ST Gurukul Residential School. The MLA expressed his gratitude towards Ministers Harish Rao, Satyavati Rathore, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and Chief Minister KCR for sanctioning the funds.
