Hyderabad: The State Bank of India (SBI), Hyderabad Circle is actively working to raise awareness about cyber fraud among the people of Telangana. They are organizing activities across the region, targeting places like educational institutions, NGOs, offices, malls, metro stations, and parks.
Recently, SBI teamed up with the Reserve Bank of India to hold a town hall meeting on cyber fraud awareness. This event was aimed at students from various colleges and universities.
Around 450 students attended the session, including those from Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University (VCIWU), Sun International College, PDS College of Nursing, and Ghulam Ahmed College of Education.
During the meeting, SBI presented detailed information about different types of cyber fraud. They emphasized the need for students to stay alert and share this knowledge within their communities. The students were encouraged to remember that being informed is the best protection. They were also urged to adhere to the safety tips shared in the session.
Additionally, the importance of the Cyber Crime Helpline number 1930 and the website www.cybercrime.gov.in was highlighted for reporting any incidents related to cybercrime.
