Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) is taking strong steps to fight corruption within the company. They have announced a plan to reward people who report corrupt activities. The company also promised to keep the identity of whistleblowers confidential if they provide correct information about corrupt practices.

The company’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), B N Balaram, stated that the State’s anti-corruption department and criminal investigation agencies are already investigating some irregularities linked to the company’s medical board. He added that once the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) submits its report about middlemen involved in the medical board process, action will be taken against those responsible based on the findings.
