Schools Switch to Half-Day Schedule as Temperatures Rise in Telangana
Text Size: 100%

To help students cope with the rising summer temperatures, the Telangana Education Department has announced that schools will operate for only half a day starting today. Classes will be held from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

For schools conducting tenth standard examinations, additional sessions will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This ensures that students appearing for exams have enough time to complete their assessments.

The decision was made as temperatures across the state are expected to rise in the coming days. The education department aims to protect students’ health while ensuring that learning continues without disruptions.

Half-day schools will continue until the end of the academic year. The last working day for students will be April 23rd. Parents and students are advised to prepare for this change as Telangana braces for the intense summer heat.
