MLA Sriganesh handed out financial aid cheques worth ₹36,04,176 to 36 families under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak welfare schemes. The distribution took place at his camp office in the Cantonment constituency.
He stated that many eligible people had waited years for this support under the previous BRS government, which, he claimed, failed to deliver the promised benefits. He assured the public that under the Congress government, such delays would no longer happen.
Sriganesh criticized the BRS party, which led the state for the last ten years, for not keeping its word on various welfare promises. He said the Congress administration is bringing in new relief measures to help common people.
Among the upcoming programs, he mentioned the Mahalaxmi scheme, which will offer free bus rides for women, and subsidised gas cylinders at ₹500. He also highlighted the Gruha Jyoti scheme, which promises 200 units of free electricity to households.
Despite financial challenges in the state, Sriganesh affirmed that the Congress government remains committed to supporting the poor and needy. He said the people have shown trust in the party by electing them for the next five years, and more welfare measures are on the way.
The beneficiaries who received the cheques thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, MLA Sriganesh, and the Congress leadership for fulfilling long-pending promises.
