Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar voiced strong concerns over the neglect faced by Jahangir Peer Dargah during his recent visit on Tuesday. Accompanied by former ZPTC Shyamsunder Reddy, minority leaders Mohammad Ali Khan Babar and Ibrahim, and various local figures, Shankar emphasized Dargah’s deteriorating state under past administrations.

The inspection revealed glaring issues, notably the lack of adequate amenities for devotees, despite substantial funds collected. Shankar criticized the previous government for neglecting essential facilities and stoking communal tensions. He further questioned the utilization of a previously allocated 50 crore fund for the Dargah’s development, demanding transparency and a comprehensive report.
