Text Size: 100%

Hyderabad saw brief traffic diversions on Wednesday afternoon due to multiple processions celebrating Shivaji Jayanti. The processions took place across the South and South-East zones of the city. While some congestion was reported in areas like Puranapul, officials assured that the disruptions were temporary and well-coordinated.

A Hyderabad Traffic Police official stated that the processions required short-term diversions lasting about 10 to 15 minutes at different points. This was done to ensure minimal inconvenience to commuters. The official also mentioned that traffic advisories are issued only for halts longer than 30 minutes, and these diversions were both brief and pre-planned.

Although traffic moved slowly in some areas, overall flow remained under control. Authorities expect normal traffic movement to resume by 6 p.m. Commuters were advised to stay patient and use alternate routes where possible as the processions came to an end.
