Hyderabad: On Wednesday, police arrested popular Tollywood singer Mangli after they raided a birthday party she hosted at Tripura Resort near Irlapalli in Chevella, on the outskirts of the city. During the raid, authorities found drugs and imported liquor at the location. Out of 48 attendees tested, nine were found positive for drug use.
The police also confiscated foreign liquor from the resort. A case has been filed against Mangli and others under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Mangli is also facing charges for organizing the event without obtaining the required permissions. The party reportedly had nearly 50 guests, including Mangli’s family, colleagues from the industry, and notable Telugu personalities.
