    Hyderabad: Telangana is set to become a global leader in skills development under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, according to Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the state’s Minister for IT and Industries.

    He shared these insights after a meeting with representatives from the UK-based semiconductor company, ARM Holdings, at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat on Wednesday.

    During the discussion, the Minister emphasized Telangana’s supportive business environment and the state government’s active role in helping industries thrive. He pointed out that ARM Holdings’ interest in investing in Telangana highlights the state’s effective and trustworthy governance.

    “We are grateful to ARM Holdings for their interest in collaborating with us in the semiconductor field. The government will ensure all necessary support for their successful establishment and growth,” the Minister assured.

    “Our youth are our most valuable resource. They possess great talent and just need the right guidance to succeed. Through the Young India Skills University, we aim to develop industry-ready talent,” he explained.

    Highlighting the increasing demand in the semiconductor industry, Minister Sridhar Babu affirmed the government’s dedication to equipping Telangana’s youth with the necessary skills.

    In a significant development, Ken Ku, CEO of Malaysia-based Spring Semiconductors, who attended the meeting, expressed the company’s commitment to training 10,000 young people by 2030.

    “We applaud the Telangana government’s efforts to become a global center for skilled talent. Spring Semiconductors will create a specialized curriculum to train local youth in semiconductor manufacturing and design. The program will include six months of training in Telangana, followed by international internships in countries such as Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan,” Ku announced.

    He also mentioned that this ambitious initiative will be carried out in partnership with T-Consult. Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed the plan and thanked Ken Ku for his proactive involvement.
