The Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana has announced a revised schedule for the Special Intensive Revision in the state. The Election Commission of India has extended the timelines for various activities related to the electoral roll revision process. The changes affect three key phases of the revision process, with all deadlines being pushed forward by several weeks.

According to the revised schedule, the period for filing claims and objections has been extended from the original deadline of 16 September 2026 to 07 October 2026. The starting date remains 17 August 2026. Similarly, the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections, which was earlier scheduled to conclude on 15 October 2026, has now been extended until 05 November 2026. The activity will still commence on 17 August 2026 as per the original timeline.

The final publication date has also been revised in line with the extended timelines. Instead of the previously announced date of 19 October 2026, the final publication will now take place on 09 November 2026. The revised schedule provides additional time for electoral authorities to process claims and objections thoroughly. The announcement was officially issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, implementing the directives from the Election Commission of India.
