Nirmal, Telangana – MLA Pawar Rama Rao Patel shared that around 90% of the Sirala irrigation project is now complete. He visited the site on Thursday to check the progress.
Once the project is finished, it will supply much-needed irrigation water to farmers in Sirala, Ilegam, and Degam villages. The goal is to have water flowing by the next Kharif season, helping local agriculture.
The Telangana government allocated ₹12 crore to rebuild the Sirala project after it was damaged by severe rains. MLA Patel expressed his gratitude to Vaishnavi Constructions for working efficiently and bringing the project close to completion.
He also thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, and District In-charge Minister Seethakka for their support in releasing funds. He acknowledged their efforts in addressing the farmers’ concerns and pushing the project forward.
Local farmers expressed their appreciation to the MLA for ensuring the speedy work on the irrigation project, which they say will improve their farming prospects.
Several leaders joined the inspection, including officials from the Irrigation Department, former MPP Anil Abdul Razak, senior leader Samvli Ramesh, BJP Mandal President Siram Sushma Reddy, Pandit Rao, district executive member Bhumesh, and other community representatives from nearby villages.
