Hyderabad: The Special Investigative Team (SIT), which is looking into illegal online betting app cases, has said that these cases need to be handled in an organized and coordinated way. This will help make sure that the law is enforced properly.
On Wednesday, the SIT held a review meeting to check the progress of all online betting app cases registered across the state. These cases are currently at different stages of investigation.
To make the process smoother, the SIT has decided to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for how these cases should be investigated and prosecuted. Once the SOP is ready, a special workshop will be held to train officers on how to follow the new procedures.
The SIT also plans to set up an Investigative Support Centre. This centre will help guide officers and make sure that the same rules and steps are followed for all cases related to betting apps.
