Goshamahal MLA Thakur Raja Singh and former Maharashtra CM Narayana Rane’s son, MLA Nitish Rane, have been charged by the Maharashtra Solapur Police for delivering speeches that incited religious hatred. The case was registered after a Hindu Jana Akrosh rally took place in Sholapur. During the rally, Raja Singh, Nitish Rane, Hindu Samaj leaders, and local residents made speeches that were deemed hateful towards a particular religion. As a result, they have been charged under sections 153A and 295A of the IPC. The police mentioned that Raja Singh had made controversial comments about love jihad, while Nitish Rane spoke about jihadis and the demolition of mosques.
