Gadwal: The District Superintendent of Police (SP), Mr. T. Srinivas Rao, IPS, recently provided financial help to the family of a police officer who had passed away due to illness.
The officer, Head Constable Prasad, had been serving at the Itikyala Police Station before he passed away in January this year because of health problems. To support his grieving family, the SP handed over a check of Rs 49,800 from the Corpus Fund, along with another check of Rs 10,000 as Widow Pension.
During the event, the SP took the time to inquire about the family’s current situation, including the education of the officer’s children. He assured the family that the police department will always support the families of officers who have lost their lives while serving. He also instructed the Office Administrative Officer (AO) to speed up the process of providing any remaining benefits due to the family.
The event was attended by Office AO Satish and the Head Constable’s wife, Rajeshwari.
