State CVHO Stresses Importance of Regular Monthly Follow-Ups for NCD Cases

A meeting was held in Gadwal to review the screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). The meeting was organized under the guidance of Dr. G. Raju, the Program Officer, following instructions from District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr. Siddappa. The meeting took place at the District Medical Health Office and was led by State Officer, CVHO Dr. Abdul Vase.

Dr. Abdul Vase highlighted the importance of regular monthly follow-ups for patients with high blood pressure (BP) and diabetes in villages. He instructed that these patients should receive their medications on time, and their details must be entered into the system promptly. Health supervisors were also asked to keep a close eye on how well this program is being carried out.

In addition, Dr. Vase emphasized the need for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) to organize high-quality screening camps in villages. He mentioned that everyone above the age of 30 should be screened for NCDs. The screening data should then be sent to the respective Medical Officer logins for further processing.

The meeting was attended by District Program Coordinator Shyam Sunder, DDM Ram Anjaneyulu, Kalyani, and various Medical Officers and Supervisors from Primary Health Centers.
