Sri Chaitanya Institute of Technology and Research in Khammam has received autonomous status. This recognition was granted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). The announcement was made by the college chairman, Mallempati Sridhar.

Sridhar credited this achievement to the college’s strong infrastructure, committed faculty, and successful campus placements. He mentioned that the autonomous status would improve academic standards and offer students better educational opportunities.

To celebrate this accomplishment, a special event was organized at the college. Several important guests attended the event, including Chairman Mallempati Sridhar, Director Srividya, Executive Director Dr. Sai Geetika, Principal Dr. Murali Krishna, and other faculty and staff members.
