The minister pledged to address the challenges faced by private hospitals and nursing homes across the state. He plans to hold talks with the Health Minister to amend the existing Hospitals Establishment Act. He also announced plans to set up a Medical Policy Corporation to improve healthcare-related decision-making.

Highlighting the Congress government's commitment to healthcare, he noted that funding for the Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme has been increased. This program, originally launched under former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, offers free medical treatment to the poor. He also reminded attendees that the Clinical Establishment Act was introduced during that time to regulate hospital standards.
