Hyderabad: On Sunday, N. Ramchander Rao, the BJP Telangana State President, highlighted the importance of using social media effectively to reach the public with accurate information promptly.

During a BJP IT and Social Media Workshop in Hyderabad, Rao stated that as digital access expands nationwide, every individual becomes a media source, making social media crucial in politics.

“In today’s flood of information, distinguishing truth from lies is tough. Thus, BJP’s IT and social media teams must ensure that truthful details about the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives reach everyone,” Rao explained.

He stressed the vital role of digital communication, urging BJP social media teams to regularly promote the party’s beliefs, policies, and welfare plans. He also emphasized the need to expose state government failures and corruption. “Every piece of information from the party should reach every home. Sharing and amplifying our message is essential,” Rao told the participants.

Rao criticized the Congress-led Telangana government for delaying local elections for 19 months, calling it a breach of the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments. He accused the previous BRS regime of causing distress among sarpanches due to unpaid bills and claimed that Congress continues to neglect local governance.

He alleged the state government misuses central funds for rural development, job creation, and infrastructure for corrupt activities. Rao accused Congress of deceiving farmers with false promises of financial assistance and creating artificial shortages of urea to harm the Modi government’s reputation on agriculture.

Rao praised the Union government under Prime Minister Modi for supporting farmers by increasing their income and crop value through significant policy changes.

He warned party members that while social media is powerful, it can also cause harm. He advised against spreading false information or creating divisions, noting that such actions would lead to disciplinary measures. “By effectively using digital platforms to spread our message, we strengthen the party and build public trust,” Rao concluded.
