The State government has decided to increase the water supply to Secunderabad Cantonment. This move will help meet the needs of the growing population in the area.
The issue was brought to light after Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sriganesh submitted a request to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Following this, the government approved the increase in water supply.
Currently, the cantonment area receives 6.0 million gallons of water per day (MGD). With the new decision, this will be increased to 7.0 MGD. This will ensure that all neighborhoods and colonies within the Cantonment limits have a steady water supply.
Earlier, the State government had required residents to pay additional connection charges to get more water. However, the extra water will now be provided without any extra charges. Additionally, the government plans to resolve the issue of unpaid freshwater bills soon.
