Hyderabad: Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivsena Reddy announced on Sunday that sports activities are thriving across the state, thanks to proactive government support.
At the 'Fit Formula Swimming Championship – 2025' in Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Reddy, the chief guest, awarded the winners. He praised the government, led by Revanth Reddy, for prioritizing sports. Reddy highlighted the collaboration between the Telangana Sports Authority, sports associations, and private organizations, fostering a vibrant sports culture.
Kumar Vinod Paswan and other organizers managed the swimming competition. Events included freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke, featuring around 200 participants. Avya excelled in the under-8 girls category, while Kolla Tarak triumphed in the boys. In the under-10 category, Bansiwal and Siddharth were the standout performers for girls and boys, respectively. Krisha and Kethan Nischithan won in the under-12 category. Kongara Sindhu and Arjun Kaswan led the under-14 group. Ritika and Sohan emerged victorious in the under-16 category, with Sohan also winning in the under-18 boys group. Chairman Shivsena Reddy presented the awards to these talented athletes.
