In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 94.24 per litre. Mumbai’s petrol price is at Rs. 106.31 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 97.28 per litre. Finally, in Bangalore, petrol is priced at Rs. 101.94 per litre while diesel is priced at Rs. 87.89 per litre.
India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which causes fluctuations in fuel prices based on crude oil prices. However, there are other factors that also impact fuel prices, such as rising demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation, and refinery concept ratio.
