The Telugu Desam and Jana Sena parties have decided to start their joint campaign at the end of December or possibly in January. They plan to announce the list of candidates and release a joint manifesto at a public meeting. TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu visited Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s house, marking the first time Naidu has visited Pawan’s house. They discussed the seat-sharing formula and the issues that should be included in the joint manifesto. Both leaders reviewed the current political situation in the state, including the growing dissent within the YSRCP. Naidu invited Pawan to attend a Walkathon concluding function organized by party national general secretary Nara Lokesh. The TDP is making efforts to make this public meeting a strong show of support, with N Balakrishna and other leaders also participating. Jana Sena members are expected to participate as well. The TDP has reportedly arranged for a special train to transport party members from different parts of the state.
