Gadwal: The Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union (PRTU) has urged the government to address several pressing issues affecting teachers. They threatened to organize protests led by MLC Sripal Reddy if their demands are not met soon.

  • Promotions for SG Teachers: The union insists that SG teachers should be promoted to LFL Headmaster posts as scheduled.

  • Old Pension Scheme for 2003 DSC Teachers: They want teachers hired through the 2003 DSC to be included in the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), rejecting the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).

  • Unified Service Rules: The union asks for unified service rules and quick recruitment of regular MEOs, Deputy Education Officers, and DIET lecturers.
