In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was gang-raped by three people in Hyderabad. The girl had recently come to Meerpet with her brother to live with her sister after their parents passed away. She worked in a garment shop and her brother made flexis for a living.
On Monday morning, when the girl and her brother were at home with three other children, eight men forcefully entered their house. Four of them were already high on ganja and threatened the girl with a knife. They took her to the third floor of the building where they raped her one after the other.
The girl managed to escape and ran away screaming. Her sister learned about the incident and reported it to the Mirpet police. A case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing. The girl has also undergone a medical examination at the Sakhi Center.
The victim’s brother informed the police that one of the accused, Tyson, lived in the same building as them. He also mentioned that two other accused lived nearby. Four people have been arrested and are being questioned by the police. The police are still searching for the remaining suspects. This incident has caused a lot of distress in the local community.
