Telangana Announces ₹7,045 Crore Tourism Investment, 40,000 Jobs Expected

Telangana’s tourism sector is poised for major growth with investments worth ₹7,045 crore announced across hospitality, entertainment and cultural infrastructure projects. The initiatives are expected to generate 10,000 direct jobs and 30,000 indirect employment opportunities.

The announcement was made at the Telangana Rising Global Summit held at Bharat Future City on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone for the state’s tourism landscape.

Foodlink F&B Holdings (India) Private Limited has committed the largest investment of ₹3,000 crore for an integrated global convention, trade and exhibition centre at Bharat Future City. The project will be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP) model and is being positioned as a flagship asset within the emerging urban hub.

The KEI Group, led by the Kamineni Group, will invest ₹200 crore to build a glasshouse-greenhouse convention centre at Kismatpur village near Gandipet. Meanwhile, the Ridhira Group has proposed a ₹120 crore Novotel-branded hospitality project at Yacharam in Bharat Future City.

Hyderabad will welcome a world-class aqua marine park and aqua tunnel through a ₹300 crore collaboration between Turkey’s Polin Group and Multiverse Hotels Private Limited. In the wellness segment, Maldives-based Atmosphere Core Hotels plans to establish an elite international wellness retreat with an investment of ₹800 crore.

Fluidra India Private Limited from Spain will invest ₹300 crore in an artificial beach, lagoon and resort project in Hyderabad. Sri Havisha Hospitality and Infrastructure Limited has lined up another ₹300 crore for a smart mobility wellness resort and convention centre.

Dreamvalley Golf and Resorts has announced a ₹1,000 crore plan to build a world-class golf destination at Bharat Future City. A similar investment of ₹1,000 crore by Sarus Infrastructure Private Limited will go toward constructing an international cultural centre within the same corridor.

Adventure and eco-tourism will receive a boost through a ₹25 crore partnership between Australia’s Salam Namaste Dosa Hut Private Limited and Vizag Recreation Private Limited for establishing caravan parks across Telangana.

The Indian Institute of Film and Animation will collaborate on IIFA Utsavam and Athens-based events, expected to generate an economic impact of ₹550 to ₹600 crore. The Tony Blair Institute in London will provide strategic advisory support for accelerating the tourism sector. Additionally, ASEAN ambassadors and tourism ministries have agreed to promote Telangana’s Buddhist circuits across Southeast Asian countries, according to an official release.
