Telangana Assembly Speaker position won by Gaddam Prasad Kumar

Congress MLA Gaddam Prasad Kumar has been unanimously elected as the Telangana Assembly Speaker. The announcement was made by Protem Speaker Akbaruddi Owaisi on Thursday. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, MLAs, and opposition leaders congratulated Prasad Kumar on his election. CM Revanth and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka showed respect by seating him in his chair. Other MLAs also came forward to congratulate him. The members will now speak on the motion of thanks to the speaker. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy thanked the leaders of BRS, BJP, MIM, and CPI for their cooperation in the election. He mentioned that Prasad Kumar is from his home district Vikarabad and comes from a simple family. KT Ramarao also congratulated him and said that BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao supported him in the election.
