Recently, the weather in the Telugu states has been unpredictable, with sunny days turning into sudden evening rain. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in several Telangana districts.
A yellow alert is in place due to a surface circulation. Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu, Bhupalpalli, Mahabubabad, Medchal, Rangareddy, and Suryapet are expected to see light to moderate rain today. Strong winds up to 40 km/h and thunderstorms may occur. Tomorrow, heavy rain is expected in Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal, Siddipet, Medchal, Jangaon, Yadadri, and Vikarabad.
The capital city, Hyderabad, might experience heavy rain tonight and tomorrow. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh is likely to remain mostly dry. However, Rayalaseema might see heavy rain later today, with possible morning and evening showers.
The Meteorological Department predicts three rain phases in October. From the 1st to the 10th, heavy rain will hit North and East Telangana. Moderate rain is expected from the 10th to the 20th. Heavy rain will return from the 21st to the 31st due to the northeast monsoon.
