Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked authorities to ensure that the Ganesh Visarjan (immersion) happens peacefully. He highlighted the importance of keeping a close watch at Tank Bund, major visarjan sites, and around the lakes.
During a high-level review meeting at the Command Control Center, the Chief Minister went over the preparations and security measures for the immersion process.
Real-Time Surveillance: The authorities informed CM Revanth Reddy that 733 CCTV cameras have been set up across Greater Hyderabad to monitor the entire Ganesh Visarjan in real time. The Chief Minister instructed the staff to stay alert and follow updated instructions from the Command Control Center every hour.
Focused Monitoring: CM Revanth Reddy also stressed the need to pay extra attention to areas that could face problems during the procession. He asked officials to maintain records of blind spots and hot spots and gave specific advice to the police to ensure smooth operations.
The review meeting was attended by senior officials, including Chief Advisor Venkatesh Narender Reddy, Intelligence Chief B. Shivadhar Reddy, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, and other top police officers.
