Telangana Rejects ₹100 Crore Donation from Adani Group for Skill University Project

The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has decided not to accept a ₹100 crore donation from the Adani Group. The funds were initially intended for the Skill University project, but the government has formally instructed the company not to transfer the money.

Speaking on the matter, CM Revanth Reddy said, “We have decided not to accept the ₹100 crore from the Adani Group. The Telangana government will not be drawn into unnecessary controversies.” He added that the decision was officially communicated to the company through a letter.

The move comes amidst widespread discussions about corporate donations to government projects and their potential implications. The Skill University initiative, considered an important project for Telangana’s development, will now continue without any financial contribution from the Adani Group.
