Telangana government appoints new government advisors and issues orders
Text Size: 100%

The Telangana government has appointed advisors to the cabinet. The appointed advisors are Shabbir Ali, Vem Narender Reddy, and Harakara Venugopal. Harakara Venugopal will handle Protocol and Public Relations, Vem Narender Reddy will handle CM Affairs, and Shabbir Ali will handle SC, ST, OBC, and Minority Affairs. Mallu Ravi has also been appointed as a special representative in Delhi. These appointments were made through official government orders.

There were discussions about Shabbir Ali becoming an MLC and a minister. It was speculated that he would be nominated for a seat in the Legislative Council to represent the minority community in the cabinet. However, Shabbir Ali lost the election when he ran for Nizamabad Urban constituency. Currently, there are no MLAs from the minority quota in Revanth’s cabinet. Therefore, it seems that Shabbir Ali has been excluded from the race for a ministerial post and instead appointed as a government advisor.
