The RTC trade unions are unhappy with Governor Tamilisai’s actions regarding the TSRTC bill and have called for a protest at Raj Bhavan. Thousands of RTC workers have gathered near Necklace Road and are marching towards Raj Bhavan. The police have increased security and are ready to arrest the protesters. The Governor has offered to discuss the issues through a video conference.

Meanwhile, RTC workers across Telangana are continuing their protests against the Governor’s stance on the RTC merger bill. A bandh was observed from 6 am to 8 am on Saturday, during which buses were stopped for two hours. Workers protested at depots in various districts, wearing black badges and chanting slogans against the Governor. They have warned of serious consequences if the bill is not passed by Sunday.
