Hyderabad: The Dialysis Premier League (DPL) 2025 poster was launched by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. He applauded the efforts of the Umeed Charitable Trust and SAP Kidney Center for encouraging sports among those on dialysis.
This unique event, the largest of its kind for dialysis patients in India, is set for August 15 at the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda. It aims to highlight the themes of freedom and resilience, showing that dialysis patients can still lead active lives.
The DPL will feature games such as Badminton, Basketball, Chess, and Carrom Board. A special quiz competition for technicians will also be held. Additionally, lucky draw winners will receive free kidney transplant services.
Present at the poster launch were Dr. Mohd Shoeb A Khan, Dr. Mohd Niaz A Khan, Dr. Mohd Aqib A Khan, and Mohd Hasan A Khan, who emphasized their dedication to empowering patients. The Governor praised the initiative for challenging stigma and giving hope.
