Telangana grapples with disrupted life due to heavy rains

In response to heavy rains in Telangana, the government has declared a holiday for educational institutions in several districts, including Hyderabad. The respective district Collectors have issued orders for this. The holiday applies to educational institutions in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajigiri, and Vikarabad districts.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert on Tuesday, warning of heavy to very heavy rains with thunder and lightning in many districts of the state. Seven districts have been given a red alert, 17 districts have been given an orange alert, and 9 districts have been given a yellow alert.

The districts under the red alert are Hyderabad, Medak, Medchal, Malkajigiri, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.

The districts under the orange alert are Jagtial, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Manchyryala, Mulugu, Narayanapet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sirisilla, Vikarabad, Warangal, and Hanumakonda.

The districts under the yellow alert are Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem, Jogulamba Gadwala, Khammam, Bhadradri, Kothagudem, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Vanaparthi.
