Advocate Gangedla Ravinder, convener of the BJP legal cell in the Bodhan Assembly segment, has filed a petition in the Telangana High Court. He is seeking a direction from the Assistant Commissioner of Police in the Bodhan division to allow a rally on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

On August 14, Ravinder submitted an application to the ACP requesting permission to hold the rally on August 21. The rally was planned to take place from Shakkar Nagar Chowrasta to the Hanuman temple near the government hospital in Bodhan. It was expected to have around 400-500 participants.

However, on August 16, the ACP rejected the application, citing inconvenience to the public as the reason. In response, Ravinder is now seeking an order to suspend the ACP’s rejection and is asking the police to permit the rally.
